Church of the Risen Christ was founded in 2009 under the name of St. Francis Anglican Church. The church was named in honor of St. Francis of Assisi. In 2024, the church reorganized and changed the name to the Church of the Risen Christ, but retained St. Francis of Assisi as a Patron Saint and added an additional St. Francis as well!

When the church reorganized in 2024, we chose St. Francis de Sales as our patron saint.

St. Francis de Sales dedicated his entire life to spreading the Good News to all people. He comprised numerous writings to teach countless others of the important role of Jesus in their lives. His writings remain to this day a source of information and education for the faithful.

Saint Frances de Sales also ministered to those who were rejected or often forgotten.
